Who runs the site

zodisigns.com is operated by Jaroslav Bryndza, Slovakia, who is also the person responsible for data handling. For any privacy question, write to contact@zodisigns.com. Where data protection law applies, the site follows Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR); for visitors from California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) section below applies.

In short

  • We never ask for your name, email, or any other personal details—the site has no accounts, no sign-ups, and no discussion.
  • The birth date, time, and place you type into the calculators are processed only inside your browser; they are never sent to a server and never stored.
  • We do not sell personal information.
  • Traffic measurement (Google Analytics) runs in a cookieless mode: no analytics cookies are stored, and only aggregate, anonymous signals reach Google.
  • The hosting provider keeps short-lived standard server logs for security.

What is processed, why, and on what basis

Server logs

Every page load leaves a standard entry in the web server's log: IP address, time, requested address, status code, and browser type. The logs exist solely for security and troubleshooting—spotting an attack or a broken page. The legal basis is the operator's legitimate interest in running the site safely (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are kept by the hosting provider only as long as these purposes require; they are not used for anything else and not combined with other data.

Calculators—the details you type in

The birth chart and rising sign calculators compute their results directly on your device. The birth date, time, and place you enter never leave your browser: they are not sent to a server, not stored, and not included in any measurement. The operator has no access to them, so on our side no processing of personal data takes place at all.

Appearance setting

If you switch between the light and dark theme, your browser remembers the choice in local storage (zodisigns-theme). It is a purely technical setting with no personal data; it is never sent to a server, and you can delete it anytime in your browser settings.

Traffic measurement—Google Analytics 4

To understand which pages are read and how the site performs, we use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), in a cookieless mode: analytics storage stays switched off, the browser stores no _ga cookies, and Google receives only anonymous, aggregate signals—visit counts, page readership, device types, approximate location from a truncated IP address. The reports show aggregate numbers, not individual people. The legal basis is the operator's legitimate interest in knowing how the site is read (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR); because nothing is stored on your device, no cookie consent is needed.

Links to other sites

Texts on this site may link to outside sources. Once you follow a link, the destination site's own policies apply; nothing about you is passed along from here.

Who receives any data

  • The hosting provider—runs the server and keeps the server logs described above.
  • Google Ireland Limited—traffic measurement, as described above. Google may transfer data to the United States; the transfer is covered by the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and by standard contractual clauses.

We do not sell your data, and we do not pass it to anyone else unless the law requires it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, erase it, restrict its processing, and receive a copy, the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Send any request to contact@zodisigns.com; you will hear back within one month. For data that Google processes based on your consent, you can also act directly in your Google account. If you believe your data is handled unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority; for the operator, that is the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic.

If you live in California, the CCPA gives you the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. This site collects no personal information you would hand over directly, and it does not sell or share personal information as the CCPA defines those terms. For anything else, the same email address applies, and you will not be treated differently for exercising your rights.

Children

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any data from them—the same way we collect none from anyone else.
